What is DSSC PUF?

DSSC PUF treats a dye-sensitized solar cell as a photovoltaic PUF: tiny material differences may become recognizable identity signals through I–V curves and electrical response.

What are the potential applications of solar PUF?

DSSC PUF targets the missing hardware identity layer for low-cost DePIN edge devices. Instead of relying solely on centralized silicon trust roots like TPMs, TEEs, or GPU vendor attestation, DSSC PUF uses material-level photovoltaic randomness to give each physical node a unique, hard-to-clone fingerprint.

Is power output guaranteed?

No. These are research samples. Electrical behavior, appearance, and stability may vary; that variation is part of what photovoltaic PUF research observes. Typical sample output is VOC = 0.6–0.7V and JSC = 4–6mA.
