1,540,000nm of DSSC Appropriate Solar RAVE

1,540,000nm of DSSC Appropriate Solar RAVE

1,540,000nm of DSSC Appropriate Solar RAVE is not a clean manual for a perfect solar future. It is an artist book and research object about trying to make energy visible, rough, local, and shareable.

The title starts from a scale joke and a political position. While the semiconductor industry celebrates 2nm precision, this project stays with 1,540,000nm: a deliberately oversized, DIY, hand-processable solar material world. The book follows dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC), screen-printing, cyanotype thinking, off-grid energy, and the desire to build a small solar rave from imperfect tools.

It reads like an archive in motion: part field report, part technical sketchbook, part exhibition trace, part invitation. What happens when solar technology leaves the clean room and enters workshops, artist studios, camps, improvised labs, and communities that want to make power rather than only consume it?
